Ham Bone Reef is located off of Kephui Point, meaning eel in Hawaiian. Once you descend down 80 feet to the bottom it is very clear how the dive site got its name. A large reef formation that looks like a ham bone is covered in aquatic life ranging from frog fish, large moray eels to a family of 5 turtles that are always
there to greet the divers. It is very easy to get lost in the large Ham bone reef formation that you descend upon and spend your whole dive there but the dive site extends much farther than that. A wall that runs parallel to the shore starts around 25 feet and ends at the bottom at 80 ft. As you follow the wall out there are lots of overhangs you can look into and swim under and sometimes catch a glimpse of sleeping white tip reef sharks.

About 20 minutes into the dive the wall ends and you can turn around and follow the wall along back to where you started, seeing scorpion fish, octopus and abundant coral life the whole way.
