Specialty of the Month Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate in the Specialty of the Month?
In general, any certified Open Water Diver can take PADI Specialty Diver courses.* To receive free gifts from PADI and Ocean Concepts, you must be an Open Water Diver and a current PADI Diving Society member. For more information on PADI Diving Society, contact Ocean Concepts or join the PADI Diving Society online.

Where can I find a coupon for the Specialty of the Month free gift?
Redemption forms are published each month in Sport Diver magazine and can also be downloaded from the web. If the form you are looking for is not listed, the offer has either expired or is not yet available.

How do I get my free gift?
We'll take care of submitting everything for you, or if you prefer you can send in the information to PADI yourself.

Send your redemption form and receipt showing the purchase of your specialty class and specialty crewpak to:

Please ensure that your receipt reflects a purchase of the class and crewpak during the actual month that the specialty course is featured. For example, purchase of an Enriched Air Diver class and crewpak should appear on a receipt dated sometime in January 2008.

When can I expect my free gift to arrive?
Your free gift can be picked up from Ocean Concepts within 6-8 weeks of submitting your paperwork.

Who can I contact if I have not received my free gift?
Your free gift will be delivered to Ocean Concepts. If more than 8 weeks have passed since your paperwork was mailed, and we havenot received your gift, your gift, please e-mail danielle.harris@padi.com with your name, address, and the name of the specialty you are inquiring about.

I don't know if I am a current PADI Diving Society member / I need to renew my membership.

I just signed up for PADI Diving Society and I don't have my membership card or membership number yet.
We will complete a "temporary membership card" located on the PADI Diving Society application and include a photocopy (front and back) of this card with your paperwork.
